Iran is to hold the 1st edition of the Alborz International Film and Photo Festival with a focus on the role of women and kids in war.
The festival recently called for entry to receive short films (Fiction, Documentary, and Animation) about the women and children subjects at war, all around the world.
It is aimed at improving the society awareness about humanistic and spiritual values, helping to produce and support the cultural productions, specially film and photography to reach glorious achievements in this field, preparing the opportunities by exchanging experiences between filmmakers, experts and audiences to progress the cultural productions, finding talents in filmmaking and appreciate the artistic producers who have made productions related to the festival goals, introducing women and children who have been effective in the field of resisting, all over the world, and appreciating writers, institutions and organizations which have been active in cultural and artistic activities.
The festival is named after Alborz Mountains in the northern side of the province which represents solidarity and glory in the Iranian culture.
The deadline to receive short films (Fiction, Documentary and Animation up to 45 minutes) is on February 20, 2018, and the closing ceremony will be held on May 14.
The event’s awards include Honorary Document, Festival Trophy and Cash Prize (1000 USD).
The 1st edition of the Alborz International Film Festival is slated to be held on May 10–14, 2018, in the city of Karaj, Alborz Province.
